According to DACO’s Public Relations and International Affairs Department, as part of the ongoing procurement of strategic equipment for the Integrated Development Project of the jointly owned Azadegan Oil Field, the Pre-Inspection Meeting (PIM) for the procurement contract covering 81 chemical injection packages was held on Wednesday, July 29, with the participation of representatives from Dasht Azadegan Arvand Oil & Gas Development Company (DACO), Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC), and Chamaan Engineering & Fabrication Company at the latter’s manufacturing facility in Kaveh Industrial City.
During the meeting, representatives from DACO’s Quality Control, Project Control, Engineering, Procurement, and Planning departments, together with representatives from PEDEC and managers and technical experts from Chamaan Engineering & Fabrication Company, reviewed the contractual technical and quality requirements as well as the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) for equipment quality control. Following detailed discussions and an exchange of views, the ITP was approved.
As part of the program, the delegation toured various sections of Chamaan Engineering & Fabrication Company’s facility and reviewed its production capacity, engineering infrastructure, manufacturing processes, quality control facilities, and progress on orders related to the Integrated Development Project of the Azadegan Oil Field. During the visit, representatives of the manufacturer presented an overview of the company’s technical capabilities, production equipment, quality assurance system, and manufacturing schedule for the chemical injection packages.
The meeting was held as part of DACO’s comprehensive program to procure strategic equipment for the Integrated Development Project of the jointly owned Azadegan Oil Field. In this regard, over the past few weeks, DACO has also initiated the manufacturing process for 54 sets of 5,000-psi-rated downhole completion strings through a series of technical and specialized meetings with Demico, Kherad Sanat Arvand, and Dana Downhole Equipment. At the same time, in cooperation with Behsazan Jonoub, DACO has placed the manufacturing of 12 sets of wellhead equipment on its agenda.
These measures reflect DACO’s commitment to leveraging the capabilities of domestic manufacturers and accelerating the procurement of critical equipment required for the Azadegan Field Development Project.
The PIM, held prior to the commencement of manufacturing and inspection activities, is a key stage in quality control and management in oil and gas projects. By establishing coordination among the client, inspection authority, and manufacturer, the meeting helps ensure compliance with technical requirements, reduce execution risks, and facilitate the delivery of equipment in accordance with contractual specifications.
Chemical injection packages are also critical components of oil industry processing facilities. Through the controlled injection of chemicals, these systems play an important role in preventing corrosion, scale deposition, and hydrate formation, while enhancing the reliability of process equipment.
The procurement of these packages forms part of DACO’s Long Lead Item (LLI) procurement program for the Integrated Development Project of the jointly owned Azadegan Oil Field and contributes to enhancing the readiness of the project’s surface facilities.
