A joint meeting between the senior management and Board members of the National Development Fund (NDF) and Dasht Azadegan Arvand Oil & Gas Development Company (DACO) was held at DACO headquarters to exchange views and outline future avenues of cooperation.
According to DACO's Public Relations Department, Mehdi Ghazanfari, Chairman of the Executive Board of the National Development Fund, discussed the Fund's strategic approach to supporting national development projects under the country's current economic conditions. He emphasized the importance of prioritizing projects based on their ability to generate foreign currency revenues within the shortest possible timeframe and highlighted the significant potential of DACO in achieving this objective.
Expressing his satisfaction with the positive transformation brought about by DACO's new management team, Ghazanfari also commended the Company's improved decision-making process and organizational agility. He stressed the importance of closer coordination between the Ministry of Petroleum and the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), noting that any delay or obstacle affecting the development of shared oil fields, particularly the Azadegan Shared Oil Field, could significantly impact project implementation.
Referring to the strong support and direct emphasis of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran on accelerating this strategic national project, Ghazanfari described such backing as one of DACO's key strengths. He added that the Company's long-term success will depend not only on its own capabilities but also on timely cooperation and decisive action by upstream institutions, including the Ministry of Petroleum and NIOC.
Concluding his remarks, Ghazanfari expressed confidence that DACO has the potential to become a model Exploration and Production (E&P) company in Iran by successfully delivering the Azadegan Integrated Development Project, setting a benchmark that could inspire other major Iranian E&P companies in the future.
