A technical coordination and evaluation meeting for the Integrated Development Project of the Azadegan Shared Oil Field was held within the framework of the First Target Production (FTP), with the participation of DACO's Chief Executive Officer, Deputy CEO for Development Engineering and Production, and senior managers.
According to the Public Relations Department of Dasht Azadegan Arvand Oil & Gas Development Company (DACO), the meeting was attended by Mahmoud Aminnejad, Chief Executive Officer, Babak Tahmasbi, Deputy CEO for Development Engineering and Production, and managers from various business units.
The participants reviewed the progress achieved to date and evaluated technical scenarios related to production and field development under the FTP framework. Discussions emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination among DACO's execution teams and key project stakeholders, including the Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC), Petropars, and the National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC). Participants also stressed the need for regular project progress review meetings and strict adherence to contractual commitments within the approved project schedule.
During the technical discussions, Mahmoud Aminnejad highlighted the importance of avoiding fragmented approaches to project execution and emphasized the need for comprehensive documentation of project activities and technical details. He noted that increasing production by 40,000 barrels of oil per day within 14 months, rather than the originally planned 18 months, is an achievable objective provided that project implementation is managed efficiently.
He further described Arvandan Oil & Gas Company as the operating entity responsible for production activities and Petropars as the project's development partner, emphasizing that all project activities should be founded on technical accuracy, schedule optimization, rigorous data management, and the establishment of a reliable project baseline.
During the meeting, Babak Tahmasbi, Deputy CEO for Development Engineering and Production, presented the key programs of his division, including the replacement of flowlines for 88 wells, the acidizing of 104 wells, and the procurement and installation of 44 Electric Submersible Pumps (ESPs). He expressed confidence that, through effective coordination, organizational alignment, and meticulous execution, the FTP objectives would be achieved within the planned schedule.
Concluding the meeting, Mahmoud Aminnejad reaffirmed the strategic importance of the Integrated Development Project of the Azadegan Shared Oil Field, describing it as the largest shared oil field in Iran and a project of national significance for sustaining production capacity and strengthening the country's strategic position in international energy markets.
He emphasized that DACO's mission is to safeguard Iran's national interests by successfully delivering the project in line with the confidence placed in the Company by the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Ministry of Petroleum, and the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC).
